as long as it's a supported controller type it should be fine, as the only inputs required are dpad or analog, and X/A/B on a 360 pad. I'll give my dual-modded stick a test later today and let you know the results!

edit: works good! just make sure you have 3 buttons available and you should be good to go

I meant as limited to only 8 directions vs analog stick and not sucking at the game.
Controller itself is an ipac, ie keyboard.

Yeah "d-pad" style works just fine. I used keyboard mostly throughout the development/testing of the game just out of laziness to pick up a controller haha. Though I do prefer analog overall.
