[Linux] Steam controller not working correctly

I'm having some strange issues with trying to play this game with my Steam controller.

First, it will not work when not in big picture mode, period. If I switch to big picture mode and run it, it still doesn't work, but if I then unplug it and plug it back in, the left stick and two buttons do appear to be recognized, though they don't seem to do what they're supposed to. The stick works just fine, but while the A button can select menu items it won't fire the weapons in the game. The B button appears to be working like a start button. No other buttons produce any sort of feedback that I can tell.

Yeah my steam controller doesn't seem to work at all with the game, also on linux.

I managed to get my controller working correctly by setting it up as a keyboard analog and redoing the controls based on that. Would be better if it worked as a controller, of course, but at least you can play that way.
