Thanks for thinking about this!
Right when the opening cutscene ends and the monster pops up, a shader is invoked. On systems that don't support pixel shaders or have ancient drivers (generally computers from 2008 or earlier), the game crashes long before that when it detects that a shader will be run at some point. What it looks like to me is that your hardware seems to recognize that the shader should execute and that it should be all fine and good, but during that process something screws up. This could be due to faulty hardware (if other games run fine, then it's unlikely) or it could just be due to screwy drivers, which could be something Microsoft messed up in Windows 10.
According to these ( https://www.love2d.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=80681&p=187523 , http://betanews.com/2015/07/26/windows-10s-automatic-updates-for-nvidia-drivers-could-break-your-computer/ , http://www.forbes.com/sites/gordonkelly/2015/07/27/windows-10-automatic-update-security-problems/ ), Windows 10 can maybe mess with your drivers.
Installing this update would probably fix it: http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/84891/en-us
Although some comments in that previous article said manual driver updates can break Windows 10.
As much as I hate to say it, it doesn't seem there's anything I can do and it very likely seems to be a driver issue that came about as a result of an automatic update from Microsoft.
Guess it was not to be. Looks like a fun game, and I appreciate that you're the sort of developer who pays attention to user experience. I come away with the feeling that this is a problem with compatibility between this particular engine ("Love"?) and Windows 10. Hope I get to play your next game. :)
Hopefully, any and all data we can provide them will bring this closer to resolution.
Oddly, Overture seems to work fine on my machine. (Don't have Zombie Party.) Not sure what it all means.... :)
Maybe try that and see if it helps anything?
