Don't worry next time they will make it significant enough just like Fortza tried and just like Battlefront did.
"Probing" around to see what goes, and what sells. Since you bought it and supported it, they will try to get ballsy, and since people here are blinded fans they will get away with anything. Have fun.
What people who enjoy the game have been saying, is that the game is good, the mtx is completely irrelevant to the experience, and it's idiotic to "boycott" the game due to loot boxes, may as well boycott bcause orcs talk.
Reviews for this game in particular will be of mostly 3 types.
1. Haters. (most of which will not play the game let alone buy it) People who hate MT's, and are enraged by the inclusion of them in SoW.
2. Fanbois. Fans of SoW that do not have the ability to see any fault at all what-so-ever
That is going to be the majority of the reviews right there, and why overall they will be effectively useless as such or even as data (the likes of which is incorporated to Meta scores).
3. Legit. People able to take a step back asses how MT's were implemented and offer a review not based on MT hate of a fans gushing admiration.
Three is sadly going to be the proverbial needle in the haystack amounts the reviews from the ones and twos. Drowned out by the incessant bickering (in "review" form) between groups one and two.
So what does all that mean? It means sod all the reviews, just make your own choice and then ignore all the white noise thinly veiled in the guise of "reviews".
2) slight convenience for the player, that IF better than what is already owned, will last 1-2 hours before being replaced.
It really serves no purpose for the player other than that. The game was obviously designed without loot boxes in mind and WB came in and changed that at the last minute. The devs said that in an interview, and now that I've had my hands on it, I can completely see that.
Either way, a ♥♥♥♥ product is being sold.
No reading comprehension?
THIS TIME it's what you get, NEXT TIME they will get ballsy.
As if the evolution of microtransactions went over every ones head..
