Dwarves aren't fun in endless mode
So I get the idea of dwarves. But I don't like it. It's like the old Warcraft 3 map "line tower wars" wasn't any fun with attackers. Nobody likes their defenses being destroyed. I have found some ways to deal with dwarves, but they're all gimmicky. Things like placing the barricades in a place that blocks the path but the dwarves won't see it, or the only other alternative is some inferno traips that will burn enemies enough to kill dwarves before they get to barricades.

I personally don't really see that as enjoyable. Thus there's a bunch of maps that aren't fun in endless because they require barricading in a visible spot, and you're just fighting against the dwarves the whole time.

I agree. In the next update, we will adjust the rate of dwarf spawning in the endless mode.

I got at least 10 hours of mileage out of "The Cellar" always trying to figure out a way to deal with dwarves that inevitably blow the whole place up. I don't know if this is so bad though.

I agree, I enjoy using barricades a lot and dwarves can get really frustrating in Endless mode. Especially if you have a well working maze, but in the end, repairing becomes too expensive. :calm_creep:

Dwarves really makes barricades worthless in endless. Some maps are way harder in endless because of this. If you get past wave 80 is just impossible to use them properly at all.

Not to mention that they can damage barricades behind 1 tile walls and on the other sides of 1 tile water if they explode.
Maybe if the final upgrade to barricades made them indestructable it would be more balanced

Barricade the highest level would be nice if cannot be destroyed

Yeah barricades feel pretty pointless in a lot of situations, especially because they get damaged through walls. I'd be happy if the final upgrade was invincible once you placed a trap on it.

A few alternative ideas would be making it so it is invincible but the trap placed on it is not. Or just make it heal very slowly.

So now you can make 1 single barricade block indestructible. Does that really help anything?

It helps a lot. Specially since the dwarves suicide on that indestructible block. Infact the dwarves are nothing on endless now. I never liked them in endless so its fine by me.

My vote is make all barricades unbreakable with final upgrade for this game and the next. I've been wondering what the next game will look like. I'll be fine with the same 8bit graphics but maybe a bit more polished. I'd also be fine with modern flashy graphics or even 16bit.
Everyone does 8bit but you dont see 16bit done much.
