Technical question
I have one question regarding paradoxically some technical issues: did anyone manage to beat the 12 seconds in the first level?

I ask because I know the game can run slower, wonder whether it can run faster.

Perhaps I should have stated the question more precisely: did anyone manage to beat the first level with time shorter than 12 seconds?

If the game runs slower or faster depending on tertiary factors, getting achievements is unequal between players, which makes this inconvenience a reason to refund the purchase.

It is possible to beat the first level in 10 seconds. Whats your best time?
The game runs with good speed even on slow android devices. If you have some performance problems, try a lower resolution and disable v-sync.
Do you play on linux, windows or osx? would be great if you post your hardware details.

Maybe you should play some of the other levels and try it again when you have better understanding of the controls. To beat the best time on every level you need a lot practise.

Just to make sure, for the sake of the problem research we talk about V-Sync off, windowed mode, 640x480 or 800x600 resolutions, that means the two bottom ones.

I run the game on an old toster, Toshiba 1,86ghz, 1 GB RAM, 32-bit Vista SP2. I can check it out on a more powerful computer, but the same results I can get watching the vids of people going through the levels. Even though the general speed of the ball look similar, at times I see the momentum differ - particularly the springboards - making it easier to the vid-guys to get the better time.

I talk about the first level because it is the easiest example. I believe I meet certain thresholds that emerge right from the dynamical definition of the game, meaning in level 5 I managed to get the best neckbreaking time of 23 seconds with the performance I consider excellent. To verify that, you would have to see the play, otherwise you can consider it a claim.

I believe the issue posted by me is valid. On the the other hand, if the case is the game requiring a rocket propelled computer to run it, I believe "optimization" is the term used to describe such things.

I'm sorry that it runs not perfectly. You definitely don't need a rocket for this game. It's hard to say if this is an issue when I can't see it.
23 seconds on level 5 is not bad. You need to play a level perfectly to get 3 points and I never saw someone who beat the best times without the experience of harder levels.
But if you think this game runs not perfectly and is frustrating for you, a refund ist the only way. I'm sorry.

There is difference between "perfectly" and "properly".

In the worst case we can have a Teamviewer session or I may record the play for you, if I still have the game, as I stumbled upon a STEAM refunding system bug along the way.

There is a misunderstanding here. 23 seconds on level 5 is okay in regular circumstances. With the clock ticking as regular but the game working slower for some reason yet to be discovered, it could be equivalent of a better outcome with expected conditions.

Yes, perfecting the skill in order to obtain the highest game awards is certainly a reason to have it. You may suppose I am a guy who just complaints without the proper ability to execute the level, but I believe the case is as I have presented it. I recommend you give a thought to what could be the source of discussed malfunction. I heard of games, typically older ones, that based directly on some system tacting or timing, thus when moved to other environments, they run peculiar.
