Crashing after the Steam Workshop download
Anyone else having this problem? The MP game plays for about ten minutes and then crashes regularly. Just freezes and I actually have to reboot my system entirely just to shut down RO2 (doing it from Taskmanager doesn't do it). I've had the game a year and never really had any serious problems with it until now. I'm running Win 7, i7 CPU, 4 G RAM, 1 G Nvidia GTX 250.

Hello RO2 gamer !

I have the same problem on win XP : crashes regularly happen since the workshop update. I also didn't have theses crashes before. I tried different servers, but the game crashed anyway
(= windows desktop returns for me). Please help us !

I've seen other references to recent crashing on this forum, so hopefully Tripwire (or Steam, if it's a Steam Workshop issue) will adress this problem.

Meanwhile, I'd be happy to hear from anyone with a workaround for this problem. I'd hate to scrub and reload the entire game as I'd lose nearly a year's worth of stats, but I will if necessary as the game is fun enough to start over. Plus, I'm getting the feeling we'll be hearing an announcement for Rising Storm over the Winter, and I definitely want some of that.

You wouldn't lose stats if you redownloaded. The stats are stored on the Steam cloud.

Thanks, Moskeeto!!! That's great to hear. Maybe a reinstall will clear up the problem. I think when Steam reformatted all the games, it's probably created a few kinks. I was away from this game for a couple of months doing other things (X-Com, Borderlands2, and, uh, yeah, my job). Anyway, RO2 is one of those games I come back to over and over.

Hi everyone!

I had the same Problem with Steam Workshop. I played the game 14 Hours it crashed 2 Times. Then i set Abonnements to several Maps on Steam Workshop and the Game crashed everytime after i startet maximum 2 Minutes and then it drops back to Desktop without any Report. It took me 1 Month to solve this problem. I delete all my Abonnements on Steam Workshop eh Voilà it works. Now I am Loading these Maps from the Gameservers themself without Steam Workshop. I Run Win XP, AMD Dualcore, Geforce 8800

Hope this helps
