Type 38 and Type 99

Which one is better ? I enjoy using them both and don't see the difference.

It doesn't really matter. The Type 38 has a slightly more accurate flight path and the Type 99 has a slightly more powerful shot. It's really just up to which iron sight you prefer.

I feel that the type 99 is better. Even though the type 38 has a nice iron sight. But thats just because sometimes I feel that that the type 38 often just harms the other player at longer ranges, whereas the type 99 is more powerful and seems to kill easier.

IMO the Type99 has significantly more damage. This also holds true for the MG's too. The type 38 uses the 6.5Arisaka, the Type99 uses the 7.7Arisaka. I think the 6.5 has a slightly flatter trajectory and faster flight, but it doesnt really matter that much, as the difference is only about 100fps, and the damage makes a bigger difference. I like the sights on both the type39 and 99 so that doesnt matter much to me, I think the 6.5 might chamber slightly faster as well.

Type 99 blocks my vision too much. I got used to the handling of the type 38 through knee mortar'ing.

needless to say, despite the M1 Carbine being a much better weapon, its sights makes it almost useless, especially if you have a pistol on you for close range fighting.

Type 99 is better. I remember playing with the 38 and it was too damn frustrating hitting someone and then hearing the bandage sound. Such a crappy bolt action rifle. At least the first one was more like an Enfield, and it is pretty good actually.

Haha :P It also has better sights, but I prefer the 1 bullet = 1 empty chest type.

In WW II, type 38 is a nice bolt-action rifle in Chinese front-line because of its much better workmanship than Chinese weapons. Japanese soldiers are good at maintain their weapons that Chines soldier especilly the ones fighting in enermy's occupied zone can get a much better rifle than they owns originally when they kill a Japanese soldier successfully. Even in 1960s, Chinese militia still equiped type 38.

No, 7.7Arisaka has the faster flight. 6.5Arisaka's muzzle velocity is about 740m/s when it's fired by type 38.
