Punkbuster is driving me crazy

Hi,

i get kicked from Punkbuster every day for disallowed program/driver.

I have no clue what this is about - im not cheating, i dont have have any framerate / hardware monitoring in the background nothing. Just Steam and the Game and yet, a kick everyday.

Tried to de-install Punkbuster, reinstalled it. Updated it manually and made sure both Punbuster A and B are allowed through the firewall.

Is there anything i can do beside not chosing servers with Punkbuster?

BTW: I use Eset 6 Security.

I got this for the first time today. I have to admit, I loathe Punkbuster. I don't think I've ever seen it legitimately kick anyone. It certainly failed to kick the few hackers I've seen.

Dont Run Programs like skype or others (only steam) and it may fix it

I wish it was that easy. I have already canceled everything and dont use Skype or anything like that at all. The error-code i get is 90026 which means cheat video drivers. I have no idea how the standard nvidia driver 320.49 can be seen as cheat video drivers.

I checked the task-manager and saw that the nvidia 3dVision-driver component is running in the background. I uninstalled that because i dont use 3d vision but i doubt this is the cause of my daily kick.

Right now im still waiting for an answer from Punkbuster-support. We'll see if they can fix it. So far Punkbuster feels just like this Securom-♥♥♥♥: Not hurting piracy but instead those who pay for the games.

I'm having "speedhack detected" message during game and been kicked afterwards, don't know if it is the same problem as yours. I read somewhere that it is something related to wifi connection. Don't know...

It's not helped by wifi connectivity, but I don't believe that wifi is the sole cause. That said, you cannot lay the speed hack rubbish at Punkbuster's feet, infuriating though they both are.
