Purchased Digital Deluxe upgrade

Hi, I just purchased the digital deluxe upgrade and when I launch RO2/RS MP and join a game, I'm still limited to the rifleman class. I've viewed my DLC for the game and it says I have it. I've tried deleting the game and re-installing it. I don't know what to do, this is really frustrating, I spent 10 bucks on the upgrade and don't have anything to show for it. Please help :)

You have to have bought RS first for the Digital Deluxe upgrade to work. I'm not sure why Steam lets you buy that upgrade when you only own RO2. :/

That makes little sense... So what do I do now? I spent 20 dollars and I have one game and no DLC/Rising storm. Do I ask steam for a refund for bolth and buy the deluxe version in the first place?

Did you buy RO2?
Buying RO2 will limit you to RO2 maps, with available ranking and weapon levels.
Purchasing RS, however, gives you content from both games, including all multiplayer content from RO2.
If you did purchase RO2, then purchased RO2's Deluxe upgrade, no changes will be made to the RS side of the game.
But if you did buy RS, THEN purchase it's own digital deluxe upgrade, and neither theater of war's level systems are working, please create a ticket for steam support, here: https://support.steampowered.com/

I bought RO2 and the digital deluxe upgrade about a day later. I bought the upgrade and can only play as a rifleman, seems like I got gypt because I could do this when i only had RO2 on RS maps.

Wait, you bought the deluxe upgrade for RO2? You know that only unlocks weapons right? In order to have all the weapons for RS, you have to buy the RS expansion: http://store.steampowered.com/app/234510/

Also, you can play as any role when on an RO2 map. Those are the Eastern front, Germans vs Russians maps. But the RS maps, Americans vs Japanese, will only let you play as rifleman until you buy RS.

Christ.... at the time it was my understand that if I bought the upgrade, I would get rising storm also. A player in game led me to believe that... It seems I've been mislead and made a mistake... Well thanks for helping me understand guys. This is certainly disappointing.

Yeah, I understand that it's very confusing. It's something I've been bugging the developers about for a while. They really need to make things much clearer.

Certainly, I was just reading the steam store page, it is easy to misunderstand. Well, I appreciate the help and clarfication, I'm annoyed I wasted 10 dollars. I guess I'm going to play RO2.

I think you should ask for a refund. Steam usually doesn't give refunds, but this sounds like a possible exception due to the confusion caused by the Steam page description.

More people should be Limited to the Riflemen Class.
