Beautiful, isn't it? My last game had MrEpicGoat crash the server after we vote kicked the lifeless troll. That was a few days ago, I come back after the update, and it's sheer bliss.
Not enough love for Tripwire for sending a message to the losers.
I didn't realize using a cheat 7 years ago in CS 1.6 made me a hacker troll in Rising Storm/Red Orchestra 2... You learn something new every day!
Was I talking about you? Is your name MrEpicGoat?
I have a pinch of sympathy for people with bans from years ago, assuming the lesson has been learned. From what I've read it's up to server admins to apply this system, and the rucus is that it is on by default. I have no idea how, if at all, the system can be massaged. For example; providing a time-based rule to ignore VAC bans over a year or so old would be great.
13 day old VAC ban. nice.
I agree ...
If I were to run an RO2/RS - Server and would have the option, I would limit the server ban to people with a VAC ban that is <= 5 years old ... and assume that this is enough time for players to grow up and see the idiocy of their old ways
Quite.
too much to ask for?
