You can use a program called X-Padder which is a program that helps map keyboard/mouse controlls to a controller.
You can find a download here : http://www.xpadder.com/
I personally used xpadder with Red Orchestra just for kicks. It's a little frustrating setting up the controlls, but after about 30 minutes of fiddling you can get a pretty comfortable setup to play the game.
Also a disclaimer: do not expect to do well in the game with a controller! You are competing against M&K users, so you will not be able to perform nearly as well. That being said I personally enjoyed Red Orchestra with a controller from my couch. I was terrible, but it was a fun and immersive way to enjoy the game for a few rounds, and I would recommend it if you don't mind dying more than usual!
I'd still say k+m for competative shooters, it just makes the most sense.. Sure I could understand why you might wanna use a pad in a single player or a co-op FPS, but competative shooters k+m would be better
Also I don't think COD and Titanfall would fall into the same category as this game.. This game focuses on realism and requires precise aiming, where as COD tends to sort of pop in/lock in when you aim down the sights, and seeing as Titanfall is made by people who also made a COD game, I'm guessing that uses the same sort of aiming
Different strokes for different folks I guess, but I think COD or titanfall would be more suited cus they're already on consoles as well, so they would already be built with game pad in mind.. Where as, as far as I know, RO2 is PC only game and so the controls are focused on mouse aiming, like I said before about precision aiming
All the games you mentioned are console ports, ie: designed for use with a controller, this game is not.
