Please Reset SteamVR Error Code: 200

When i open steam link it tells me to reset steamvr and when i do nothing changes and it tells me to reset steamvr again there is also another error code that appears on desktop that says: The VRLink Driver encountered a fatal error.
ERROR: failed to create/reset encoder in videoamfenc.:SubmitFrame()

how do you change the bit rate

link settings, top one is bitrate. you might have to enable advanced settings in the bottom left corner

My steam says my Quest 2 is connected, but I keep getting the Error, but steam VR also pops up with a Video Encoder Error, it suggested I updated my graphics drivers, but I just did and I keep getting the error

Same thing. I am using the new "Steam Link" on quest to a AMD device. Ran into this problem recently. Changing the bitrate did nothing. The funny thing is, on my other computer, running an ancient AMD graphics card, it works fine.

Same Thing here... AMD R7 Graphics, Not able to adjust bitrate because steamVR and steam crash and wont let steam home even open.

Could you elaborate a bit? I have no idea where any of those items are listed at all.

The menu is in steamVR, The little rectangle that pop up after you launch steamVR.
click the upper left 3 bars and the menu will pop up. then choose setting

if there is no steamlink tab for you to choose, that's because you havn't connect the quest with steamVR yet. Go connect it first by launching steamlink in your headset. try to connect once to activate the menu. Dont worry if it fail.
Actually, they should have just greyed out the other tabs, not make it dissappear from the setting menu.

- from the menu choose steam link tab
- set Target Bandwidth to mannual
- adjust bitrate to 100 Mbps.
- Exit steam and steamVR then relaunch them again.

Next, after adjusting the Bitrate. launch steamlink in your haead set and connect it to your computer. This time it should work.

I wonder why dont they make this bitrate default. it was not even in the trouble shooting guide. and let people frustrated for 2-3 days and try to figure it out by themself.

Edit: I try to play ALYX. sometime it just disconnect from SteamVR and I have to lower the bitrate to 80Mbps to get it run smoothly. and yeah I'm on Wifi6 5Ghz.... may be we should stick to Virtual Desktop.

I have no idea. I think you need to fix SteamVR first. did you try to uninstall and install it again?

I've tried everything you write here and nothing works, the error keeps popping up

When I Press my PC in the steam link app (I am on a quest 2) It opens, On the quest it says, "The Host PC Has Stopped Responding, And on the PC it says "The VRLink Driver encountered a fatal error.

I cannot adjust bitrate because when it gives me the error code on my PC It does not let me look at settings.
I have tried reinstalling steamVR 2 times, i have tried using the beta and have tried 2 PCs and I have tried reinstalling SteamLink. I have AMD R7 On-board Graphics.

I know that I have to change the bitrate but when I get the error and try to click anything on the steamvr tab it just makes a windows noise and doesn't let me click anything including the 3 lines and I can't just close the error tab because then that closes out steamvr if anyone knows how to fix that please let me know
