Could I accidentally screw up my Steam Link with SSH/SFTP?
I was using SFTP to install retroarch before and got a bit worried that I might drag the wrong folder to the wrong place and screw something up. Is that a risk or a possibility, I'm signed in as root after all?

I'm kind of hoping I don't have the rights to touch any crucial files..

The root partition is read-only, so you shouldn't be able to hose anything critical. If you're in a bad state you should be able to power on the system, wait 3 seconds, unplug it, and repeat that 3 times to trigger a factory reset.

Great, thanks for the info.

Unless you overwrite stuff or run out of storage you should be just fine (hardly doubt it's supported). If you mess with running system too much it tends to factory reset itself on reboot unfortunatedly (was disabling some bluetooth crap and installing pdnsd DNS cache server for my home network when it went haywire).

ssh-shelll # mount -o remount,rw /

fixed.
