Steam Link
Connecting directly to PC.
Sorry if this question has already asked i googled for answers but couldn't find anything to help.

My PC and TV that i want to use steam link on are in the same room and i am wondering if i can plug the steam link directly into the TV as i dont have a WIFI card in my PC and i use a power line Ethernet connector to connect it to the router downstairs. I can use steamlink over wifi and its fine when playing something like bioshock but when i tried playing street fighter 5 it was much laggier. So i am wondering if there is a way to connect the steamlink to my PC

If they're in the same room, and you're looking to connect the Link by wire to both the TV AND the PC, then you have no need for a Link. You can just run a long HDMI cable PC->TV. If your controllers aren't wireless, then you would also have to run a USB cable from PC->TV area and put a hub on it for controller connectivity.
microcenter has gigabit 5 port switch powered by usb/5v for $10

powerline is be crap for longer distances
good if both are on the same circuit breaker, but across breakers or on different 110/220v rail will not work well

if you need wifi, you can get an an/n wifi extender/ap and set it up as an ap
