Just upgraded, all seems OK.
i started up my steam link, it auto-updated

the main menu is completely different with a list of computers instead of icons of computers to choose from...?

i dont have all the settings that i once had, i can no longer boot straight to desktop, it has to launch big picture?

my keyboard doesnt work. its a microsoft 2-in-1 mouse/kb combo. mouse works, kb doesnt.

Missing settings option on Steam Link startup screen which allow me to set my viewport size and adjust keyboard and mouse settings. Mouse cursor slow as treacle and cannot see full window in big picture or minimised desktop mode. Please fix.

Nice. I like these frequent updates.
I'm gonna retry some non working Gamepads then.

I can't all-tab and my backslash button is no longer working. Why is this?

This update is performing worse for me; everything was great at 720p until this update, now the game will "freeze" every few minutes - the audio continues and controller inputs are recognised, but the video freezes and refuses to update. It will unfreeze after about 15-20 seconds, but will always freeze again later.

It's not my network or hardware - everything worked 100% great before today's update.

after this update, pcsx2 fullscreen launched from steam (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=615016180) appears left-aligned (for 4:3 aspect ratio games) instead of being centered.. before this update, it was center-aligned.

if i put pcsx2 in windowed-mode instead (not fullscreen), then it gets centered as steam link zooms into that window.

"Streaming stats" to show steam statistics can not be seen in reduced mode only shows the advanced mode.

I don't know what fixed it, the steam client update or the steam link update but since this release I can use my steam controller again in the web department of big picture after using a controller on the main system.
I also love that I can skip the network setup, since it always said 0.0.0.0, and I had to unplug and plug the link to get an IP again, after a "power on" using the controller. Now it just works after skipping that. Might be a buggy switch or the link itself.

Can you post a link to the Steam debug log?
  1. Go to the System menu on the Steam Link
  2. Click the "Save debug logs" button
  3. Start streaming to your computer
  4. Look on your computer in the Steam logs directory for the file steamlink_debug.txt

For people who are having video hangs, can you try temporarily disabling input in the advanced streaming settings and see if that fixes it?

Since the build 640, i cannot start the steam link with my xbox 360 wireless controler. I have to disconnect the power cord to get it started again. I have an official receiver.
Any idea ?

I'm experiencing a random black flicker every other second? I have tried to turn off hardware encoding in the settings menu but it's still the same.

Any thoughts?

Since this build (640), most games now get wrong xbox 360 controller input / no input at all.
For example - The Witcher 3 no longer recognizes a gamepad (all buttons do nothing and icons keep say mouse/keyboard).
Tekken 7 - Buttons work but the input is wrong or even doubled (I checked Practice mode to see what inputs are registered), every button is recognized as 2 different buttons together.

In the Link OS Mapping screen, when testing input, it is registered perfectly to my clicks.
I'm using the Xbox 360 Receiver for Windows.

* No configurations enabled (although I have tried enabling it just to check if it works).
* When connecting the Receiver to the PC directly (no link) everything works flawless
* Tried paring the controller again, resetting to default, no good

This bug is totally breaking the Link for me, everything is literally unplayable, rendering the product worthless until I am able to revert back to a working version or update to a fixed version.
Made me cancel a few evenings.

Not cool.

EDIT: Resolved the issue, the problem was Nvidia Overlay in Geforce Experience that was enabled for some reason, once I have disabled it, everything went back to normal.
I do not know if it's an Nvidia issue or a Steam issue, but I'm just happy I got a working workaround.
