Can we have a checkbox disable/enable support Controller configuration
I have still problems with some games and vibration
When i play a game the main controller doesn't vibrate but the controller connected to my pc sometime does instead of the one
Hope we can have back our that as they used to work fine with no problem (vibration and games dont work)
I was not able to find any difference and it looks really interesting!
Thanks in advance!
Can you describe your setup and the exact steps that you're taking and the behavior you want?
For context, Steam automatically enables passing game controller information when the game uses the APIs that Steam has hooked to provide streaming game controller data. If that doesn't happen, then either there's a bug in Steam which needs to be fixed, or the game isn't actually reading the game controller data that Steam would provide and providing the data wouldn't help. I'd like to try to reproduce your setup so I can understand which it is here.
Press (Y) when adding a computer, and you'll be able to enter the IP or hostname of another computer running Steam. This is designed to help with complex home network setups where routers may have the PC and Steam Link on different, routable, networks.
If you enter this and your computer doesn't show up, make sure that you've entered the address correctly, your computer can ping your Steam Link, and there's no firewall protection on your computer or the intermediate routers that is interfering.
Cheers!

I have almost the same issue as above. I have a Steam Link connected to a powered USB Hub so I can plug more controllers in than the Link Allows. It was all working fine until recently and now I have an Xbox One Controller where Vibration used to work just fine in all games, now only works in a few. All the vibration is getting pushed to the XBox 360 controller that is also plugged in but not in use. So I can be playing a game using the One Controller, and yet the 360 is the only one doing any rumble regardless. Checking in Big Picture it identifies both controllers and will push the vibrate to both of them as intended, but games its now not working, but it was a few weeks ago just fine with the same setup.
Tried rolling back Steam on the Host PC from Beta to Stable and its still the same. Looked for and deleted the controller config folders from within Steam in the hope that its just a config issue, but still the same.
I too am having problems with controller vibration. It doesn't work in any of my games. The controller does, however, vibrate when pressing the "detect" button in Big Picture Mode.
I'm using a Wii U Pro Controller over bluetooth, and I have an Xbox One S controller plugged into my computer. My setup hasn't changed in the last 4-5 months, so I'm lead to believe that something has changed in one of the later builds for the Link.
Thanks for the answer!
Have a good day!
I have my steam link wired with ethernet connected to my router both pc and Link
Gpu gtx 980 latest drivers
Windows 10 64
Beta build 617 both in pc and link
I always have an Xbox 360 Wired Controller connected to my pc
In "non-steam games" vibration doesn't work for first player and sometimes when playing with 2 controllers vibration of the first controller is on the second one (when i crash or something the second controller gets first controller vibration)
On Skitbold! game when the second player wants to join it makes a third player to join to at the same time, but the second player can only select one character (so no double input but when pressing A acts like a double input)
Vibration doesn't work in Rocket League or sometimes it goes crazy and vibrates whenever it wants or it has a massive delay
Also in Move or Die! vibration doesn't work and other games too (steam games and non steam games)
All the games listed have been tested with the same controllers on my main pc and worked fine and before the Steam Client Beta Update that forces to recognice our Controllers as Steam Controllers worked fine too
hope we can get back the controllers as they used to be and the people that want to use the "controller configuration support" just tick the "Enable Xbox controllers support"
I'll try adding pictures or video later
So you're saying you have one XBox 360 controller wired to your computer, and how many and what kind of controllers do you have plugged into the Steam Link? Are you hot-plugging any of them, or are they all attached at startup?
Can you please try the latest Steam client beta update? I think the vibration issue may be fixed.
