Does anyone know if you can Stand afk on top of peak for a lil and not die

i may be a bit late but i stayed afk for like 30 minutes and i was just pretty hungry after that, bit more than a half. edit: I also forgot that u kinda slide away and i moved a bit from where i firstly was so try not to stay close to a cliff
