Water Trial make anyone else want to drop this game and give up?
Just the regular whine threads for people to bathe in mutual misery, I have run the same path to the same warp point over and over again for stupid trial and error rubbish, You think you notice a rule to follow, then next the rule is changed and you are back to the start, to walk the same hall to the same warp.

On floor 4 right now and the whole thing is just a tiny bite of progress then back to square 1, taking it slow and walking and looking REALLY carefully at every wall and counting tiles does not work because on floor 4 it's appearing to just be a case of "Hmm can the crappy 2 second long invisibility let me make it that far.....no...no it can't back to square 1! AGAIN!....

So yeah, Anyone else hate this part enough to want to moan about it into the void like I am here?

I did get moderately irritated, but once you see the 'real' rules (the invisibility lasts approx 2 floor tiles, then disappears, and the eyes are a 1 square wide x infinitely long area of vision, it just requires you to move slowly, but there's really nothing too difficult.

Just annoying.

This was definitely one of the most annoying parts of the game for me. But once you are through it basically never happens again. There is one part at the very end with it, but it's tiny and doesn't undo any real progress. Once you are done though, you never have to look back. You can do it.

Yeah I did it shortly after I posted this, it does not go beyond floor 4, What "inspired" me to do this was the part where you find the eye teleporter, I was skeptical to approach it, wondering if it was a vertical sentry and i would be teleported back.

It was not, I was teleported to another platform and thought "Nice, i made some progress!" then, I walked down the stairs and went back to the start thanks to a really damn sneaky, but thankfully final eye sentry and had to somwhat slowly run back through all the floor 4 rooms.

One trick would be always quick save when you progress. In case if you accidentally return back to the entrance, just load the quick save file.

YES.
Loving the game till this point. But I didn't know about quicksaves. Hopefully that'll be the savior for this epitome of bad game design. Always eyes hidden somewhere to screw you over :/

Quick save saved me a lot of times. The map is not too difficult but it's annoying sometimes, especially those sneaky eyes that watch the door step.

Your bubble gets destroyed faster when you are on a teleporting tile. Before you set foot on a tile you think is safe, just give yourself a bubble first to see if it is safe or not. That temple was not hard at all. Can't even say it was annoying either. I think I screwed up twice.

biggest issue i suffer from is constant unwanted and unannounced character swaps, symphonia handled that sooooo much better.

ya wanna be the healer, cause you suck with melee? you're now sorey, or some character you sidelined AGES ago. and not even talking about characters that left the party for a bit, just seemingly at the ODDEST story spots.
