Game won't start?

So I just bought this game as part of the halloween sale, but the game won't start at all. I'm Windows 10.

What comes up on your screen? Do you receive an error? What are your specs?

Nothing comes up on my screeen at all. It doesn't even show up in the running processes. Specs are:980ti, 4790k, 16gb ram, windows 10.

My brother has the same problem absolutely nothing and I have a flat plain black screen. We are both also using windows 10 pro X64.

I had a similar problem with Windows 8, but it worked, sort of. I would get the black screen but if I pressed buttons it would make noises. Occasionally I could get the pause screen to show up on top of the black screen (where it says Resume, Exit) but nothing else. I found out that the game worked perfectly if I started it when first booting up my PC (and Steam) but it wouldn't display anything if I had played a different game since booting.

Hopefully this might help some of you guys play through the game. I did have a good time when it worked.

In Windows 7, I played MANOS for a couple hours, exited the game, and now I am completely unable to start up the game again.

Another thing I seem to get is I can get the game to start maybe 30% of the time in normal mode but not in BPM, I have a steam controller so you can imagine that being a bit annoying. All controls other than the directionals are dead and the gunshot circle effect shows up 2-5 time in random locations on the screen when I can get it to start. I receive no errors of any kind on my blank screens and neither does my brother but gets no response of any kind, not even as far as a black screen.

Makes me super sad too. I have a special place in my heart for the movie. Was the first worst movie I even recognized as being JUST plain bad. Thats why I got excited to play the game. Sadly, I can not only not recommend it but have simply not played it. I can play my other games that work till someone gets on this and pushes a fix. I also got it through a charity bundle so no refunding it either. I am OK with that. Maybe that would be a way to show the dev I WANT the game and that might help motivate? Either way makes me a sad panda.

I got the game to start by running it in windows 95 compatibility settings.

I think it might be time to just give up on this one ever getting fixed. Really sad seeing as it looks like it would be a blast to play too. I will try Pogs solution but I have almost entirely lost interest.

My game didn't start either. Unplugging USB gamepads did the trick.

Windows 10 OS here. If I am in Big Picture mode I get a black screen and the game won't start. If I exit out of Big Picture mode and change the compatiblily of the game it will run but I cannot get the steam controller to work. The only option I have is to change me desktop config for the steam controller to mimic the keyboard bindings of the game and then run the game in compatablity mode from the local files. The game needs an update for Windiows 10 & the steam controller.

This game is so bugged it's almost worth it to just give up. I really wish I had purchased through steam and not humble bundle so I could refund this thing. Really torques me off something like this is even sold for real money.
