- Glad you like the gameplay changes.
- Yes, I think I need to go through and identify the worst illustrations and take another pass at them. I agree completely. It would be hard to change the entire style but individual pieces can be addressed.
- "Quick Hotseat" is the only MP mode at the moment, but it is for two people sitting together in front of the same screen. The way I implemented this, it will be pretty easy to support both realtime and async MP or switching back and forth. I kept that in mind while I was developing. Out of curiosity, what would be your preferred online multiplayer mode: playing with friends or random matchmaking? And would you mostly play realtime or async?
- There is a card database viewer which you can access from the Settings menu (the "Collection" button). I'll try to make this more obvious. There is a Rulebook there too. Note that there will be more cards in the final release.
- There is an Undo button in the lower left of the battle (near the speed buttons). But it is only available at particular times. If a click causes new information to be revealed (for example the drafting of new cards from the deck), then you cannot Undo that click. But otherwise you can. It's also not in the Tutorial battle.
From the database the cards that I would touch up are:
Spearmen - spear in the hand of the center character looks curved (seems more a bow) and also there are spears that appear to be floating in the air and/or incorrectly angled.
Starter Infantry III & IV - Swords in the hand of the soldiers.
Warrior Poets - Weapons
Conquistadores - Spanish armors!
Huntresses - add some weapons?
The Assacani - weird spears coming out of horses heads
ALL THE CATAPULTS!
Master Builder - parchment is wrong
Starter Underworld I - Leg of the man looks snapped/weirdly angled?
Arms Dealer - weird weapon / man stabbing his own hand
Fires of Industry - too fantasy?
Gold Mine - seems more honey dripping from the stone walls
Good Trade Deal - weird handshake
Construction - see Master Builder
Horses - The horse has TWO heads!! :
Question > is there a particular reason the Unholy Practitioner is in the Holy category if he's UNHOLY
Regarding the MP, I like a lot to play Async (especially on mobile). I almost never play Live as it's too difficult for me to sit down and play a full game session in one shot.
Each mode of course has its advantages and disadvantages and people have their own preferences, so it's very subjective.
I really enjoy playing async because:
- no time constrains (aside the time limit set in the app to take your turn. Usually 12h, 24h, 72h or unlimited)
- can play with friends from different time zones.
- perfect for my daily routine (I can play a few rounds, then stop and pick up later if something happens in the meantime)
