I am in a tribe with 29-30 dinos. am i a noob?
Hello. I am a level 84 in ARK and i am in a tribe with an industrial forge 4 wyverns, a snow owl, a rock elemenetal, a rock drake, a giganotosarusu, 3 rexes, 3 ankys, 2 doedicurus, 1 quetz with platform saddle, 1 paracer with platform saddle, 3 very high level argentavis, and i still feel like a noob? I play on PVE unofficial with a huge base. But i see other people with more than 30 dinos and they have hundreds of dinos and i feel like i am at 0. Is there anything else i need to be a pro?

Also i posted this in off-topic because it just didn't seem like it would fit in general discussions
How do you get 29-30 dinos? That's such a narrow range. How do you could out that you have at least 29 and at most 30 but not get the exact number? A question for the ages.

So, from the dinos you listed, I notice that you did not list any dinos that can fit into small caves to get artifacts, or any boss fighting group, which is typically comprised of 19 tough fighting dinos and a yutyrannus.
You also have nothing that gathers lots of wood, and no water tames (irrelevant on certain maps of course)
Most importantly though you should tame a pack of troodons once you can.

I thought i mentioned "other dinos". Sorry. But i have a lot of dinos and it is hard to name all of them from memory. The tribe i am in has therizinosaurs, weight wyvern, and a mammoth to gather wood.

I play on Ragnarok and it is true that i have no water tames. I have never tamed a water tame except on singleplayer and only a megaladon and only tranquilized and cheat tamed.

But i play on Official PVE ragnarok81 so the singleplayer thing i mentioned is sort of irrelavant
Hmm well water tames are pretty important especially for gettings black pearls. I think there are some other sources on Ragnarok fo those but that one area with loads of squids was great when I played it. There's also at least one artifact underwater on Ragnarok, and it's surrounded by squids so underwater tames are pretty helpful for that one too.

Anyway, some big milestones you haven't reached yet are to gather the artifacts, kill the bosses, and get some tek gear (done in that order)
Breeding some strong dinos with cool color mutations is also a thing lots of pve players do.
