can no longer play with weight "fix"
impossible to gather anything now with only 100 weight just with my gear and food its at like 75/100 totally unacceptable.. I dont like using dinos at all cause the fps is so bad i cant defend them correctly if i get into a fight and i dont want to lose all that i have on them when they get killed and then go waste another hour or 2 trying to get another dino and then get it lvled again and then go refarm all that got lost. All items need their weight reduced by like 75% weight needs to be raised to like 500 or stat points need to raise weight by like 50+ each point. I dont want a base made of storage boxes and like 4-5 dinos with maxed out weight just sitting there doing nothing.

I haven't got the slighest clue how people manage with 100 weight, as a 15 year diablo 2 veteran and having thousands of hours in fallout and elder scrolls games i know how to correctly manage my inventory to where i only carry what i absolutly need on me and save the rest for anything i find but here i cant even carry what i need to survive.

yeah i liked the 1000, but a compromise should be made at around 200-500

It's not impossilbe. Tens of thousands of people are playing and functioning just fine with 100 weight. Not remotely impossible. It may be open to change overall, but it's really not remotely that bad.

Again, many of you have played with a broken build, and refuse to accept that your perspective is horribly skewed by that experience. It's pointless to try to talk sense to some anymore. They are just not going to let it go. They were given too much, and now they are angry that it was taken away, and not being objective. It's a form of being spoilled :(

You answered yourself. You don't want to take advantage of the Dino cause you don't want a possible penalty of losing him. In other words you want but don't want to possibly give.
Take heart though, lots of whiners so they will probably change it...for now anyway.

Did it all with 100, just takes longer..suck it up.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ deal with it, the way you're proposing would make ♥♥♥♥ unbelievably easy with no need for a pack dino.

Wow. It's like you didn't read the post at all. OP said that they CANNOT defend their pack dinos, not WILL NOT. Until performance is better optimized, it's not unfair to consider beefing up...

...Why are we even having this debate? This is about singleplayer. People should be able to play SP however they want. It doesn't effect you. You can play with as little weight capacity as you feel makes the game challenging and fun. Forum's full of elitists faffing about and being closed minded trying to dictate to others. Really shows you who's out of school for summer.

Well, for there to be a reasonable discussion, you have to be likewise able to approach things from another perspective and not just your own. The bug, having not been mentioned as a bug by the devs, was perceived as a feature to make single-player as accessible as multiplayer due to not having a tribe to help fetch and carry, or help you train dinos. As it was revealed to be a bug, removing it has shown there to be a weakness in singleplayer that needs attention.

Either there needs to be an increase in carry weight in SP, a decrease in dino training time, an increase in carry weight per level, or a decrease in the weight of items. Or some other solution that hasn't occurred to anyone yet. Tedium for tedium's sake is just poor design.

You do know that you have skillpoints to put out? 10 levels is around 100 extra weight.
Go play minecraft if you don't want dinos to carry your greed around.

Are you perhaps mentally challenged? Do you not understand that people have already levelled and cannot respec their characters? How about you be less of a snot.

I don't know how they can't defend their dino's, tamed dinos are OP as hell. I only use 3 Dido's (mate boosted) and they have solo'd everything from turtles to tikes to carno's solo (I will hit once with a rock to get them on it, then just sit back and watch). I did try a stego once when I had a 4th one but it was a bit too tough and killed one of them, but the 3 remaining still killed it, and that's one of the very very first dino's you can tame. If that was 3-4 raptors I would imagine they could take most anything,

Hows about you stop being such an insulting dickwaffle?

Now, what I'd propose would be some system where servers/single player can set up a 'base' set of attributes, so when you spawn in you have something like 1000 weight limit and 300 health with 150% movement speed or something.

Was it not possible to increase the weight limit when these players leveled up?
Grumpy RedPanda Jun 7, 2015 @ 3:34pm
Dickwaffle, made me giggle.
Anyhow as colonel_eviscerator pointed out, and something that made perfect sense is that A) It wasn't known as a bug, so people playing SP thought it was the norm, and now can't respec.B) Some people actually prefer playing SP, so don't come a long and be a dickwaffle yourself. Elitist bs isn't needed. I do think a little compromise is needed, Or when modding is open to us all this may fix how much control we will have over this.

Maybe change your title to, "Devs:Weight & Gameplay" They are much more likely to respond to something that seems constructive and reasonable and clear minded. Not that your ideas are not good, but I think sometimes the devs have trouble finding the good suggestions when the title are not crystal clear.

The solution is a slider. Let players decid how they want to play the game, this way everyone is happy!

It was certainly possible, but given how people had 1000 limit and it was not known to be a bug, they didnt see the need to increase their carry limit and as such spent those points elsewhere.
And since they cant respec they are stuck with a to them almost nonexistent carry limit.

As someone who just started playing I can certainly increase the limit when leveling up, but it still made it even more difficult than before for me to survive in the early game since I need to carry everything with me.
Stones, Hides, Wood, Meat, etc weighs quite a bit, and I need to gather quite a lot of some of those items to survive

Then there are the spears, that I need to hunt, as its the only useful hunting tool early on.
Given how quickly the spears break and that I have to throw them to not get killed by some of the more hostile dinos like the Dilo, I have to carry multiple spears just to survive.

With a weight of 6 per spear that puts a severe limit on my carry capacity and as such my ability to survive.

And I cant use Dinos for mules yet as I have yet to tame a Dino, given that I havent gotten past lvl 6 yet I'm not sure I can tame dinos yet even.
