in your saved folder which is in the Shootergames folder which is located inside a steam subfolder (there has been several posts made in reference to this).

Also to op if you arent going to be playing SOTF while its trying to update ignore it and just click join (as normal) or the host option, it'll stop downloading after a bit and you can continue playing normally, now if you are going to connect to SotF guess you gotta wait or try what's been suggested.

I had this problem with another game. The solution was to unsub to the mod, and then turn around and resubscribe.

This problem is still quite common for clients trying to rejoin a server who's mods have changed.

The mod download process does work, but still a year later isn't integrated properly into the PC server loading UI.

It often ends in errors... at which point you just have to try to reconnect, again and again...

Ark's Steam Workshop integration is still at the toddler level at best.

sure. fix your mod installation. make sure your steam is allowed to download things while you're ingame and unsubscribe and resubscribe the mods you need, go ingame and wait till they are installed. some take a while if your pc isn't that good

I just have to do this every single time. Copy the mods in the folder Steam downloads to and transfer them to the folder Ark reads from. That is most of what is happening during "Installing 1 Mod" and it takes longer if the game/steam are running because reading and writing to the same directory take longer than just writing or just reading.

For those who wants to cancel a mod installation :

1 - Go to the Steam Workshop (On Steam : Community -> Workshop)
2 - Search for ARK: Survival Evolved
3 - Search for the mod who's write on the install sentance (Exemple -> "Installing 1 mod : Annunaki Genesis", search for Annunaki Genesis).
4 - Search your mod in the list and just unsubscribe to it. (Click on the cross at the bottom right of the image)

Now the mod will stop downloading and will stop appear in your ARK menu.
