To everyone saying the game is getting boring.
Want to know why it's boring? You've played it into the dirt without going outside. Every game gets boring, especially early access games as they are not complete/balanced. Stop playing 8-9 hours a day, go outside a bit more, go make friends outside the game, go learn a skill or go play another game for a bit.

You can't treat a game like it's RL it has too many limitations. If you play a game 5+ hours a day and think it's getting boring the only one to blame is yourself.

Take a break for a while, take off for a few weeks and come back when they've added more content. The way people play this game the devs will never be able to keep content coming out fast enough to keep you amused.

There is so much in this game to do it can keep you entertained for hundreds of hours as it is and they're working to give you even more to the best of their abilities. 1 hour of development != 1 hour of entertainment. Give them some more time to get stuff in, they're amazing developers that are giving you a LOT for $30.

Be patient, and stop playing the game religiously.

Happy Hunting.

it's pretty sick to think about that 9 out of 10 that think this game is starting to get boring and "iz to ezzzz" are the kinda guys that have spent an average og 17-18 hours A DAY in-game since release...

How do they even have time for that much?

I've been on sickleave for some time and not even I have time to play 17-18 hours a day even though I don't do ♥♥♥♥ atm....

I find it boaring since it takes to much mats to build most stuff . granted solo

Like... I honestly thought for a while that my 300+ hours were alot... but then I saw people with over 1000 hours in-game in ARK... And then I felt much better about myself

If you insist on playing solo maybe play on an unofficial with gather multiplier.

You can make it easier to get mats to make it less time consuming to build in solo mode. Although I'm guessing by solo you mean just without a tribe? Yeah that'll get difficult and time consuming for not too much enjoyment (for some). If you're solo just change the resource gathering values and it'll be less grindy.

yeah my measly 168 hrs is already too much as other RL duties have taken second seat to ARK, I wont even be able to play until late Sat or even Sun :(

so your categorizing everyone into the same group of people. Not really a practical observation.

Personally, the game for me starts getting boring once im max level. I've now had 9 different characters, once your max level there really isn't anything left to do besides build a super fort, keep taming dino's that take 6+ hours to tame, or hunt other players. None of which really make me wanna keep playing.

I enjoy the building aspect, proved that having the second largest base on a server with multiple tribes and me only being a solo player (not counting admin bases).

I've tamed multiple dino's, got rather bored doing that due to the taming times, yes including when using their fav food. Kibble, just a major pain in the ass to get enough for a high level, and usually end up still end up wasting hours even just in the creation of that.

yes, after we've found the base mechanics of the game, figured out how things work, and what one does through out it, it can become rather boring indeed.

yes its a Early Access Game, yes its still under construction, but that still doesn't detour the boredom we are getting. It also doesn't help when the new stuff added in is given a high level to acquire with insane egram point requirements as well as insane crafting requirements. refert is a prime example of just that. it should be on the low tier, right around the same level as the fert bin, it should cost less points then the fert bin, just like narco, stem, gun powder, spark powder cost less points then the mortar. The requirements shouldn't require us to run up to the top of a mountain to gather rare plants to create it, risking life and limb to regrow a tree or bush. Adding more grind to a game doesn't really make it 'less' boring, rather the opposite, makes it 'more' boring.

So yes, its getting boring, not only because of basic things like people playing too often, but because of mechanics, time requirements for various things, and of course the consistent grinding.

Honestly, please stop trying to categorize everyone into a single group, there are multiple reasons that people find the game boring, including New people coming into the game itself.

Pretty much my thoughts. +1

I agree with OP...a lot. I just think that if you are on a PvE server it could get dull. Even on PvP servers people just dont seem to PvP. I wish there was incentive to actually PvP people. I feel like most people look at the game as a time spent grinding vs should I waste time. Always having to calculate decisions would make someone never do anything wacky.

In any cases, the more you'll play a day, the quicker you'll get bored. It's just logic and math.

one big detour on this - spend 6 hours on a dino only to have it die 3 minutes later. This is why some people don't pvp. They are too afraid of losing those dino's they spent so many hours taming. They are also afraid that if they pvp someone the next time they log in they'll find their base was pvo'ed.

They are afraid of losing all their work - the threads about 'should the servers be wiped' clearly notes this in itself.

My family has logged less hours than you on your own. We all have work/jobs, school, and other things we do for entertainment. None of us are bored with the game yet, and it's because it's not the only thing we play/do on our free time. As a result we all have things to still do in the game. I lose interest in any game regardless of what it is by the time I hit your hour of play time, as I imagine most people do with a game. The only games that don't get bored at end game are mmo's and that's only because the goal posts keep shifting.

The only ones I've seen posting that the game is getting boring have 500+ hours solo. My family shares this 1 steam account between 3 people and you've still got more hours than all 3 of us combined. I have yet to see some one complain that the game is boring and check their tag to see less than 500 hours.

I agree.... BUT I CAN'T STOP. Of course I don't get too bored because the high level politics, espionage, and PVP have kept our server interesting. All the major tribes work together to maintain order but never trust each other fully and are every now and then on a knife's edge of hitting the red button.
