Switch between two "maps" on the same dedicated server setup
Complicated question ahead!

How do I have two seperate game sessions (only ONE at a time), hosted on my dedecated setup?

Say,
Setup one: I play with only X people
Setup two: I play with X, Y, Z people

Each setup is seperated, no mix between maps, players, levels, engrams etc.

I tried having two batch files, each with their own session name and password. But turned out to be the excat same map and players on both setups. (Idea was batch file two would generate a new seperate session)

*By map I mean running TheIsland on both sessions.

Hope it kinda made sence?

If I wanted to try something like that I would have 2 files on my Server for the actual Save game files for session #1 and #2. The normal one at least on my FTP site would be shown as:

/arkse/ShooterGame/Saved

So I'd have that as my Game #1 file and another version like:

/arkse/ShooterGame/Saved2

Which would be the alternate version.

Also I would 2 Mod folders the first would look like

/arkse/ShooterGame/Content/Mods and the second /arkse/ShooterGame/Content/Mods2

So I'd run one set for group 1 and rename them to run group 2.

Instead just doing the Mods you may have to do the entire Content folder at:

/arkse/ShooterGame/Content

To make things simple I'd prob just make two small .bat files to handle swapping everything from Game1 to Game2 and from Game2 to Game1.

Not sure if this would work but I think it should.

I use this and you can have several different server set ups

Cheers guys!
Ratero - The startup .bat was unable to "see" the folders, after I had changed their names. Workaround bould be to make a seperate copy of the entire game folder. Buuut, that takes a bit of space on my poor ssd. Will continue working on it, though!

jhulett - Server Manager seems to be able to handle my requests. A bit of issues (in the fun way), that I'll work through come morning (DK time atm is 4 am). Hopefully I'll get it working this way :)

Ok.. was just an idea anyway. But I'd have the .bat files just sitting on my desktop perhaps called Game1 and Game2 and just use normal DOS commands to select the folder and rename them. You should not have to use anything else to swap the names around.
