Change to Desert cloth armor in scorched earth?

What's the deal with the new desert clothing change in SE? I checked the patch notes, and nothing is in there to explain it.

112% water retention became 112% weapon damage for NEW pieces of clothing crafted at the smithy. Existing sets are not affected, and retain their water retention bonus.

I assume this ia a "bug" that slipped thru the QA process before a patch was pushed, or is this actually intentional?

On my SP it changes to water retention once the item is crafted, though it says weapon damage before.

I noticed that the day SE came out. I think the crafting menu tooltip showed as weapon damage and the actual item tooltip showed as water retention. I can't remember exactly. It should be a simple fix .. maybe it's so simple that everyone assumed that someone else reported it (stuff like that used to happen all the time when I worked at a plastic injection molding company .. only there simple problems would turn into expensive major problems if you didn't fix them lol).

I don't recall seeing it before until recently, but I could be wrong. It's very possible it has been like that since day one, and I just picked up on it recently.

So it appears to be a bug, and not an intentional change to the armor. Let's hope they fix it.

Scorched Earth is a desert. The desert cloth armour set allows you to use less water. In other words, you drink less often. unless you are running around in all that heat like a fool. Only run if you have to.

we made a tek helmet or so I thought on our SE server. It had this weapon damage 112% on it as well. Its possible its a bug. Our desert gear has this as well. In the engram on the smithy and the made gear.
