Yes. I had to be level 85 to learn them. (when I received the gift my character wasn't there yet.) I leaned all of the armor ones and then tried. I was able to wear the piece crafted on our own tek bench, just not the armor I was gifted. Talk about frustrating!
Is your server using the TekBench mod?

That stuff is completely differnet from Vanilla.
I have to assume the answer is yes. Having crafted a tek bench after all... I'll have to try looking though there as well. Thanks! If you think of anything else, I'm all ears!
TekBench stuff is completely different with it's own set of engrams.

It may be vanilla. I was able to find out it was crafted by a server admin some time ago and then ultimately not needed by the gifter.
I guess I'll just have to suck it up and go kill some bosses...
I'm not sure, but it does have the S+ mod, so I'm guessing it probably does have it.
If the points engrams don't cover the learned (boss) engrams that would make sense as to why I can wear one, but not the other.
