Advice on getting pregnant (via Reaper)

I managed to do it once but lag made the pheromone not work properly in time and I lost it. My method has been to use an extremely powerful Spinosaurus (with a charge light pet of course) I had and just pummel it into submission, then jumping off when the Reaper Queen tries to use her grab move. The problem is ever since that first one, the gals been playing hard to get. I'll beat them down to the last thousand or hundreds of their HP and the pink indicator aura never comes. I'm making sure its reaper queens each time, checking their HP (server I'm in has a spyglass mod that makes HP visible at a distance), and sometimes waiting a good half a minute but she never even attempts the grab attack.

Any advice?

i just use drake for it, hit it down to under 2k hp, turn light off, use a pick or hatchet and swing like crazy at it while mounted, the queen will grab you before long and inpregnate you, dropping you at your drakes feet. then get straight back on drake and jobs a good un

ps, make sure you turn light off or the red aura will never appear

Just to make sure, I'll throw this stuff out:

Make sure she's not under any Charge effects.
Make sure she's facing you head-on.
Make sure her tail isn't obstructed by anything (can cancel the animation)

Aside from that, I dunno what to tell you. Candlelit dinners aren't going to help in this specific case.
