Goals/Projects for Singleplayer?
I've managed to get a nice base going on my singleplayer game, with a farm, smithy, etc, and a few dinos, but I'm not really sure where I should go from here. Fighting the bosses doesn't really seem feasible on my own, so are there any other Solo survivors out there with ideas on what I should aim for next?

build a massive fort in every biome? do a noah and tame 2 of everything? See thats the issue i have with games that are really desigined for multi players being played offline. once your established.. what else is there?

There is not much to do in Single Player. But you can set yourself a goal: choose a dino type and breed it to as high base level as possible.

I pick themes for my bases and design around that theme. For example right now I'm working on a simple little farmhouse and barn base made primarily in wood. My next plan is to do a very futuristic looking tek base using tek decor mods. And I wanna try and do an all glass base under the sea.

Another thing I like doing is playthroughs with specific rules that alter the gameplay. For example in my current game I'm playing a no flier style, where I'm not allowed to tame things like pteras, argies and quetzes and have to use land-based dinos for everything. My next play I'm thinking of doing a nomadic ocean playthrough on the Center, where the only permanent base structures I'm allowed to build are in the underwater domes, and beyond that I have to have all my bases on mobile rafts and platform dinos - no overwater permanent bases allowed.

Think minecraft, you got no end game beyond what you want to do.

Build things, try things, etc.

Maybe look into pve servers (unofficial preferably if you want better community)

You could try to fully explore the map for all of the Dosier Chests which are supposed to tell a story, and will reward an acheivement I think.

Mods buddy, looots of mods. Dip yourself into the mod workshop. My favorite mod for SP is NPC Bush people, adding humans that are tameable, breedable and that build their own bases, attack you, etc. The aim of the mod is to simulate the PvP environment, and for a mod and fake NPCs, they do a pretty nice job so far.

Other than that, get deco mods, new mechanics mods (Ark Advanced 10, Ark Steampunk, ecorp's deco mods, etc.) Set goals for breeding ultimate dinos, tame everything, build different themes, do all caves on foot solo, defeat the bosses on all difficulties, if you have Scorched Earth, unlock it via bosses and go there to tame the new dinos, raise wyverns, etc.

My long term project right now is building a mega city on the entire floating island in the Center, with different sections and themes. It will take years, yes, but it's a permanent object. I can do other things, but I always have that one goal to come back to while along the road, new stuff and mods come out.

Get some high lvl BPs via underwater caves (which will take a significant amount of time to prepare on its own) and tame some wild giga's. Not sure how far you progressed but underwater is pretty fun, stay away from the electrophosurs' since they will almost always kill you.

If you are interested in underwater adventures an easy way to gain access to it are with beezlebufos, you can kibble tame a couple of high level ones quite quickly with scorpion kibble and pump nothing but speed on them, at around 300% speed they outrun almost everything and at 400% only alpha mosa's can gain ground on you underwater. While you're doing that you can tame some pachyrhinos with bug repellent (15 min tame with repellent on official rates hours with berries) and make pachyrhino kibble so you can tame baryonyx, they are absolute monsters under water and very fun to ride. You'll also have to make sure to make scuba gear to be able to breath/see better underwater.

Not sure if you have already done this but I've been going underwater for months and each time is still very fun for me. Hope this gives you some ideas!

I will be testing that. I know for a fact they are very doable on easy, a bit hard on medium, but don't know on hard. I suppose, having well bred top T-rexes with at least mastercraft saddles would be doable.

I've been working on making a tree house in the redwood biome. If you are just starting, the farm for the platform alone is an accomplishment. Idk if you are on the island but I think a second base for just flyers would b cool.

I've already got some mods on, but always looking for more :P Know any good decoration mods? I actually really want to find one, spruce up my base a little bit. Right now, my work shed looks more lived-in then my actual house.

Definitely want to do this! I've found a few so far, but those little buggers are surprisingly well-hidden. I also plan to try and nab all the cave artifacts if I can.

Thanks to everyone who's posted here so far for the ideas. I don't think I myself have the time/patience to sink into a massive project like giant bases or breeding, but it's still cool to hear what everyone's been working on.

I used the blue 'pull' distance marker on an s+ workstation as a guide to build a floating dome using metal glass.

My mind hurt by the end of it figuring out the best sequence to place walls and ceilings. But the end result was quite impressive. That was before triangle pieces too. 😎

Eco's mods are by far the best decor mods out there, there's quite a few of them. Start with EcoTrees and look through them from there, see which ones you like.

Also, DebellicA's Super-Ultra-Mega Storage mod is great for asthetic and functional storage of Ark's various resources, makes a workshop look so much cooler than having boring uniform chests lining the walls.

I only do singleplayer i just download mod maps and start over there.Have a character and save for each mod map.
