Scorched Earth base?

Im recently gearing to head to scorched earth and make a permanent base there for myself as a solo player. I was wondering is it a good idea building in metal or should i just use adobe?

Well tek tier is now the scorched best base design but the second best is metal with adobe inside.

metal would overheat you, definitely go Adobe

Build out of metal, just make your ceiling 5walls high and you won't get the insulation bonus. Then build yourself a smaller room within your base out of adobe so you can rest from sandstorms and heatwaves.

If you build entirely out of adobe any wild wyvern, random (or not so random) golem can smash its way into your base.

I did my base in Adobe, then placed metal all around it, but I use Structures Plus mod., they snap together...
