Trying to figure out how to mod the key bindings.

I really do not like to use the mouse/keyboard control scheme. And I also don't like the current keyboard control scheme as it is.

I'm trying to use a wasd setup for movement with gun firing bound to the keypad. Does anyone know where I can find and modify the key bindings?

This is at the top of our list to improve, I think PrivateAlpha or Linus have looked at it already. Maybe we can look for it together this weekend in either IRC channel (#destination-sol is still getting started, several from #terasology are interested and have checked out the source).

If you use something like IntelliJ to view the source from GitHub finding things is usually fairly straight forward :-)
