[FAQ] General Game Play Tips
I can't look around or Interact with the HUD windows! Help!
A common question for people who skip the tutorial or close the initial Game Encyclopedia after creating a new character :)

You can toggle your mouse cursor/ mouse look mode by:
- Pressing the middle mouse button.
- Pressing the TAB key.
- OR (in fullscreen mode) the SPACE BAR

Okay I am at the Main Menu for the first time, what do I do!
The game has a fully interactive tutorial. My first suggestion is to play the tutorial by pressing the Tutorial button. You will create a character and you can select from a list of tutorials. I know you are eager to play the game, so I suggest only doing a few of the tutorials, then you can play the game with a base knowledge of controls and game play mechanics. You can always go back to finish the tutorial later.

But I want to skip the tutorial and play right now!!!
Heh okay, no problem! Go ahead and create a new character (for the first time I suggest a premade character). After that, you can select a pre-determined position, or spawn randomly in the world!

If you ever have any questions while you play, the tutorial text is available in a full Help Encyclopedia by pressing the Question mark button "?" on the Menu on the left side of the screen.

Enjoy!

What are some of the common actions in the game I can take? And what can I do first?
- When roaming the world you can click on items in the game, a list of items will appear that you can interact with.
- You can also "search the area" for all items near your person by pressing the "G" key. This will bring up a list of all items in the area you can interact with.
- As your first action, find group of small stones (8-10), then press the "G" key to access the items. Right click on one of the stones and select the "Craft - sharpened stone" option. On the crafting window press the "Auto Select Items" button. Hopefully the two stone requirements are fulfilled, if not, move elsewhere and try again. When ready, the "Craft" button appears. Press it! Congratulations! You are performing your first craft!

I want to create a highly customized character, I am very serious about playing!
Instead of creating a pre-made character, select the custom option at the bottom of the window. You will be able to select your difficulty, your starting items and skills.

On each window there is a help button you can hover over that will explain how each character customization window works.

I can only carry items in my left and right hands. How do I carry more?
There are many items you can craft which allow you to hold more items. One such item is a cord belt, which you can learn from brush working. It is a small container but it is a good start for carrying items, as well as a low skill requirement to unlock.

For large items, you can craft a pull cart with your woodworking skill. This allows you to haul a lot of heavy items, and at a fraction of their weight and space. Good for hauling large logs and heavy stones.

With leather working, you can create a hide sack, a good large portable container to carry lots of other items.

If you do not want to take the time to raise your skills to create a container, then you can "purchase" one if you decide to create a custom character.

My character is getting hungry/thirsty and is about to die!
You can run down to the water and drink from it! Simply walk into the water and press the "G" key to search the area, you will access to the water, you can right-click on it and drink some water!

There are a lot of food items simply laying on the ground or hanging in trees, like bananas and apples, there are coconuts too that you must split open that provide both water and food.

I am naked! I can only carry things in my hands and I want to carry more!
There are many containers in the game you can create, but the first and easiest is a "cord belt" if you are able to learn some simple brushworking skill. You can wear it and hold more items to start.

What should be my very first objective in the game?
Once you have a source of food and water, you first main objective should be to create and maintain a campfire. Staying near one counteracts the cold of the night, and allows you regain your focus which is needed if you plan to do a large amount of crafting.

I finally set up a small camp! ... then I went exploring and forgot where it was :(
You can set a waypoint by pressing the "P" key, press "P" again you disable it. You can activate one at your "camp" then you can see it from a distance. The waypoint always appears, even after you log out and log in later.

How do I hunt animals?
The easiest way is to create a wooden spear. You equip it in your Left Hand then you select the "throw" command on the item. Also you can press the "1" key to automatically go into "aim" mode. Aim your spear and throw it!

Your strength determines how far, and how much damage you do with your hunting weapons. A low strength will cause less damage with your attacks, and will make the weapons not travel as far.

As for what to hunt. Rabbits are plentiful but quick, but easily killed with one spear strike. Wolves are docile but are very quick. Bears take a few spears to finally kill.

Sabre Tooth Tigers have some nice items for crafting, however be careful! They are aggressive! They take many attacks to kill if you have low hunting skills. If you are tricky and have lots of health, you may be able to kill one by yourself, but be prepared to die!

Mammoths are of course a great reward for killing, however these massive beasts usually take many people working together to kill one. Attacking one by yourself is almost certainly deadly....to you.

What are some long term goals I can achieve in the game?
You can choose many or attempt to master them all. You can become highly skilled in professions like pottery, leather working, hunting, or even farming.

You can also build your own primitive hut. And working with other players, you can create a fully working village, with each player specializing in certain professions.

How big is the Game World?
I do not have an exact value, but the scale was to represent one 1 meter per "point". So with this measurement the game world is a little larger than 25 square kilometers.

However in the future I may make the game world larger! With my game engine I can make a world of any size!

I plan to have traps in the future, so you can catch small animals like rabbits without needing to chase them down :)
