[FAQ] Login Screen Help
What do I do here on the Login screen? I just want to Play!
It may seem like there is a lot of words and buttons here, but it is actually very simple!

Just follow the "steps" from top to bottom.

"Step 1" - Asks you if you want to play offline in your own game server, online on another person's game server, or simply start your own dedicated server for other people to play on.

- "Play offline (Single Player)": This mode starts up your own personal server that is not online. You can play by yourself and you do not need an internet connection.

- "Play Online": This is the default mode. You can select a Server from "Step 2" below. This is explained next.

- "Run Dedicated Server": This options starts up your own server, however it is intended to be online after you set all of the required parameters. You can find more information about this in the "[FAQ] Server Setup"

"Step 2" - Here you can select a server to play on. By clicking the button you are taken to a Server Selection window. Here you either select a server from the list of broadcasted public servers, or manually enter the server information of a server to connect to that specific server, even if it is not publicly on the server list.

You can also manually connect to your personal offline server from here as well, normally the default IP address for this is 127.0.0.1.

Once you select the "Connect" button, you are brought back to the main Login window, and the game will attempt to connect to the server. There are three colored lights that may appear when connecting to a server:

- Red: The connection to the server could not be made.
- Yellow: The game is in the process of connecting to the server.
- Green: You have successfully connected to the server , move to step 3

"Step 3" - Here you create a login and password for the server you are connecting to.

Please note that even if you are only playing the game with your own offline server, you still need to create an account for yourself. This is so in case you want to make your server public in the future. You only need to do this once, and the game will remember your login and password if you wish, so next time all you need to do is press the "Login" button next time.

"Step 4" - Options. These are self explanatory

"Step 5" - Play! If you are connected to a server ( a green light appears in Step 2 ) and logged into the server you are ready to play! Enjoy!

Why do I have to create an account and log in to my own offline single player server?
The servers are set up to be online servers. You can create your account and have the game save you login and password. Then from that point on all you need to do is press the Login button.

A second program is appearing before I start my game. What is that?
That is the "server" program. It is running and handling all of the computations, networking and database operations for the game. When you play offline, this program will close when you exit your game. If running a dedicated server, it will remain open until you manually close it.

Can I use the same login and password for each server I play on?
Technically yes. Each login and password is stored on the person's personal server database (passwords are encrypted, though it is still recommended to use a password that you usually do not normally use). Currently in this early development stage of the game I chose not to have a master account server in order to keep the maintenance of the game simple and prevent ruining the people's enjoyment of the game from such issues like DDoS attacks.

I wanted to play offlline, but the game failed to connect to my offline server automatically.
If this happened try the steps below:
- Go back to Step 2 and manually connect to a server. At the bottom of the server connect screen there is a "drop down" list of "Favorite Servers", by default you should have an option to connect to your local server (the IP address is 127.0.0.1 port: 39245). Select that option and try to connect.
- Make sure that you have access to the correct port numbers if you are running through a router of firewall on a local network. The ports the game use are 39245-39247 (39245 is the main game port ).
- Make sure the server actually running on your system. If it is not, you can also select the "Run Dedicated Server" option in Step 1, and then set it up and Manually connect to it there. You can learn to do that from the [FAQ] Server Help.

I cannot connect to an online server
- Make sure that you have access to the correct port numbers if you are running through a router of firewall on a local network. The ports the game use are 39245-39247 (39245 is the main game port ).

I want to set up a professional dedicated server, or a dedicated server that only me and my friends can play on.
You can learn to do that from the [FAQ] Server Help.

Before getting to this Login Window, I saw message saying I could not connect to the Bug Server or Master Server. Is this a problem?
No. These are the master data servers that log bugs and allow you to access the Master Server list in the server connection screen. You can still connect to your own server and other player's servers, but you cannot see the Server list in the Server Connection window, or submit bugs in-game. You can still Email bugs to me.
- Also, make sure that you have access to the correct port numbers if you are running through a router of firewall on a local network. The ports the game use are 39245-39247 (39245 is the main game port ).

I cannot load the list of Public Servers on the Server Connection window
- Make sure that you have access to the correct port numbers if you are running through a router of firewall on a local network. The ports the game use are 39245-39247 (39245 is the main game port ).
- It could also be the case that I am currently performing maintenance on the the test server or master server programs and they are temporarily offline.

Server connection successful
Selected Login, but get the message I am not logged in and need to login or create an account

Heya! You need to make a new account for each new server you play on. There is not one universal account that you use.

Make sure you connect to the online server *first*! Then create the new account for that server.

Hope that helps! Let me know if you still have problems :)
