Crash To Menu with Exessive Blueprints
When I launch the game from the game.jar, it claims I have low memory. Is this a standard issue?

Is anyone else experiencing phantom crashes-to-menu or low memory warnings? If so, do you have a large number of blueprints?

Any input would be great. Trying to separate User Error from Game Bug.

If you launch it directly from the game JAR, the Java virtual machine will be using the default max memory, which is like 64 MB.

Try something like

java -Xmx1024m -jar game.jar

The source of my crash-to-menu is ticking the "Cost" filter before the ships are loaded.

Happens every time.

Hmm. Another question. Does this crash happen in 9.2b5 or only in 9.1? Because in 9.2b5 there ought to be nothing causing extra memory use from pressing the cost filter!

This is all BETA 9.2b5, and not in JAVA mode but the Standard .exe (without the java tag).

Details:
- Multiplayer. (yet to do further testing in Blueprint or SP mode)
- This only occurs in the ship menu, possessing 1,527 Ship Blueprints.

If it has the Cost already ticked, from the previous match, there's a chance it will crash. So this isn't including "first load", but "first load" and "second load", after the ships already have their prices cached.

While I may not have experienced a crash without the filter; I do concede it could be unrelated. It's occurred in recorded and non-recorded scenarios on several occasions.

Find it's best to wait for the list to load before issuing any further commands.

I didn't start experiencing the issue until actively sampling the BETA and it's fantastic new features. They will vastly improve my sci-fi modding experiences, for-sure.

I experience no issues in my lesser blueprint pools, of 550 Buildings and 600 Landships.

A search tab for ships would be a nice addition, cuts down on the scrolling time.

Played non-beta for roughly 4 hours last night/this morning.

0 issues with 1500+ ships.

Beta related bug.

With 16gb of 1600, x2 8gb, indifferent on the ram usage in general.
