Mech addons
So is it against the unwritten rules of mechdom to buy addons, like camo paint or bolt-ons. I am running a centurion and i bought him a sword and wings, looks kinda cool IMO but on my next match a teammate shot me in the leg :(

while i dont think the bolt-ons are of any use and most to me just make the mechs look rediculous, i dont think people should be idiots and shoot their own team members for it.

on the other hand i do find that most of those bolt-ons do make you an easy target for the enemy as some stick out quite far and will give away your position and in turn any team member near you.

that being said i think those bolt-ons arent worth the trouble and should stay in the solaris mode, i personally dont see any use to them aside from cosmetic but not necessarily useful as anything tactical in a cosmetic way.

Sure its tactical. You could have people on the enemy team waste shots on a cosmetic without hitting any hitbox of your mech so they waste an alpha on nothing. Like if you have a crown on your Atlas and you are peeking over a hill and someone shoots that, then you are free to move up over the hill and come after him while he is on cooldown.

i guess, but i would think people wouldnt be stupid enough to watse ammo or bother firing on something that cant be hit.

that being said, that isnt the "tactical" i was talking about tho :P.
