MWO CRASHING AFTER SIGN IN SCREEN. FREEZES. HELP.
Hello

So ive found this but, that happens EVERY TIME i load up MWO

So i sign in, and when it goes into the loading screen for the mech bay, it freezes at this screen. It never progresses from here, and i cant exit out. I have to literally restart my computer via my power button. The screen wont leave, even after I, Alt F4, Alt Tab, Ctrl Alt Del, whatever it is the screen wont leave and i cant get it away without restarting my computer via the towers power button.

I dont have much time on this game but I played it more in BETA and some after, not on stream tho.

Does anyone have a fix for this???? I think I played this game recently maybe a few weeks ago, I feel like before SOLARIS 7 update and it ran normally pretty sure. I want to play this game but cant get it to work past this screen.

This happens when starting it from STEAM or even the stand alone launcher, every. ♥♥♥♥ing. time.

please help

What's your operating system?
Also, specs please (your DXDIAG report should contain everything needed for this check)

As of the April 17th patch, MechWarrior Online will no longer support 32-bit systems.
Does this apply to you?

MWO doesn't even include a 32 bit installer, nor does the 64 bit launcher actually run at all to get to the login screen unless the OP hacked in the ability to execute it and result in a buggy mess like this.

Additionally, if he is using the (now quite old) 32 bit executable, the first thing he's going to see is 'there is an update available'.

Verify the game files using hte tool in the MWO launcher or folder, not via steam, otherwise you'll likely have to patch again unless they changed that.

vid drivers, not a likely cause but in instances like this i update them so there is no chance they are the problem.

reboot computer and try again. sometimes garbage process made by nvidia programs can cause crashes and performance drops, this will ensure they close out any unecessary ones.

theres one more thing but i got to dig it up, its basically a thing windows can do to verify important files like KERNEL.DLL and such. but i dont keep the step by step on hand. probably should.

I uninstalled and reinstalled it on steam, and then uninstalled the steam version and downloaded the stand alone from the website. Same issue with both, same EXACT issue.

I'ev verified the "integrity cashe" mulitple times on steam and did a clean install of it from the website, should i try these methods again?

There is the latest NVIDIA update that isnt installing for whatever reason but my GPU has been up to date completely till now, could this be the issue? Ill install it now somehow its been giving me problems which is strange but i sorta feel like that isnt the issue here.

That last part sounds pretty complicated, do you think thats a viable fix for all this? Ive restarted my computer multiple times, both from the power button when it get stuck as theres nothing else i can do, and the correct way through START and all that. I think ill do a clean install of the stand alone and try that after my GPU drivers update.

Any more idea would be great, I cant imagine im the only person having problems with the SOLARIS 7 update or the only person experiencing this problem with MWO.

This sounds kinda similar as 3-4(?) threads below. Tried those solutions yet?

Long shot: Do you have DirectX 9 runtime installed? (no, having DX11 is not equivalent)

From what I know, DX9 is the default for the game - and the game will try to run it even if your OS doesn't have it (which is the case for newer Windows versions, where DX9 runtime has to be installed separately, after Visual C++ 2010 redistributable and DotNet 4.0 - see https://steamcommunity.com/app/342200/discussions/0/494631967659282286/#c494631967659290344 ).

Also, have you tried emptying MWO's shader cache?
