Minor Additional Feature: City graphic improvements
Hey guys,

This is just a quick post to let you know we have a minor additional feature coming that wasn't originally planned. The extra feature is some new City graphics to add a bit of polish to the game. We had a student in the office this week for work experience and used the time to work on a few small things to improve the polish of the game, and this is one of them. Below are the new graphics:

Improvements include:
  • New bases under each building with small roads inside the rim.
  • Solid bases for large buildings instead of separate hexes
  • Special bases for under every city building
  • Research Lab Tier 2 model wasn't good enough, so we moved the old tier 3 to Tier 2 and added a new Tier 3 (visible in the screenshot)
  • Some Large Buildings such as the Factory were originally designed without accounting for the increased scale. We've improved these by rescaling the models and adding multiple buildings to them (example in the screenshot is the factory on the left).
  • Some buildings such as The Forge (Robotic City) had small parts that wasted visual space and were off-scale. We've adjusted these to normalise the scales between the city and small buildings.
