red coloured ressources
Hi, I have a lot of ressources on my map which are coloured deep red (ore, ancient ship, ...) and don't seem to be usuable for me at all. I think I have all required technolgies (almost done with researching pre warp area).
What do I miss? Can anyone explain or give a hint?

If it's the display I think it is the deep red color indicates lack of that resource in the area.
Also let me know if you see any space era techs when your done with the pre-warp techs. I couldn't get them to show. Even when I started a game in the space era I couldn't see any new techs to research. (See my thread just below yours.)

Have built a refinery on some red ore resources. Unlike normal refinery graphic appears to have an enclosing dome which would seem to suggest some type of associated toxicity. The metal yield appears to be substantially lower.

Confirm rr_rudi. Having researched pre warp Ancient Ruins tech, unsuccessfully attempted to build Artifact Excavation infrastructure on a red ancient ruin hex. Cannot see any pre-warp tech that allows exploitation of these hexes. Inspection of techs available in later eras do not reveal any claiming the ability to exploit these resources. Presumably red crashed spaceships similarly cannot be exploited. A bug ???.

Researching 'Infrastructure Biospheres' converts red resource hexes into white resource hexes.

Yep! To clarify, red resources are those in environments you can't access because you need the Infrastructure Biospheres technology. Once you research that tech, they all unlock and become visible. I'll see about putting more information about this on the Deposit tooltip to avoid confusion in the future!
