Challenge Map for United Colonies
Hi,

Just played the challenge map for the United colonies. It was a lot of fun. I really enjoyed myself. The only suggestion I would have is to put a twist at the end where the scientists think the last attack will drop the time bubble but it doesn't. It would really challenge the palyer if he thinks he's almost done then finds out there's going to be one more fight.

Hey Troy,

Thanks for the feedback, we're always kind of unsure about ourselves when we release something new so it's always good to get positive feedback from a 4X veteran. This mission was originally designed by Kickstarter Backer Lee Newsum over a Sky conversation shortly after our campaign, and we're pretty pleased with how it turned out.

We tried to strike a balance with this mission between challenging veteran players and making it possible for relative newbies to complete, leaning slightly more toward the challenging side and adding a rating system and bonus objectives. If we ever iterate on this mission and the original designer likes the idea, a twist at the end could be interesting. Maybe we could make it so that if you beat the final wave quickly enough or don't lose any ships in it, you get the bonus wave and that's an easy way to get gold rating?

That's a brilliant idea! I totally love a bonus wave. Go with that.

Anyway, I really enjoyed the storytelling and pacing of the scenario. You guys did a good job on it.
