i bought Arma 2 complete bundle and when i launch OA it says the game will ask for a key but it never has?

i want to activate the key that i was given when i bought it but the game has never asked for it please help, also i can still play all the arma 2 games but cannot connect to the servers

If you go to your library and click on ARMA 2 OA, there is a link to the right of the page called "CD Key". It's there.

You do not have to type the key in by hand,installing the game via Steam SHOULD add the needed keys to your registry (where the game will look them up).However,if you install the game without running Steam as Administrator,the rights to write to the registry might not be granted and you end up with a non working game.

Best way to make sure that everything is okay is to uninstall everything ArmA 2 related,close steam,start it as Administrator and re-install the game.

To join Servers that are running DayZ or other mods,you will also need to install the Beta-patches for Operation Arrowhead

I am pretty sure the problem is that you have not run Arma 2 regular yet. If that is not the problem try verifying the game cache if that doesn't work add me on skype- supercapy11
