Cryo vs Freeze weapons

Is there any difference between cryo and freeze status inflicting weapons in damage or something else? same question regarding burn/thermal status infliction weapons.

Only Freeze and Burn weapons can inflict those statuses. However you can synth in the Freeze and Burn skill for Cyro and Thermal weapons. This applies to Shock/Lightning weapons as well.

Cryo is the element of the weapon, Cryo+ increases its damage, Freeze and Weaken are its status effects.

Thermal is the element of the weapon, Thermal+ increases its damage, Burn and Rust are its status effects.

Lightning is the element of the weapon, Lightning+ increases its damage, Shock and Confuse are its status effects.

you confused me and enlightened at the same time) For example, if i have hyper thermal sword with it's thermal attack lv.3 (once you press TAB to look closer into the weapon) and burn sword with it's burn lv.3 attack respectively, which of these two should i keep? i mean, is there a difference between them, or they both just put enemy on fire the same way when in combat? same with cryo/freeze, shock/lightning

If it says Thermal then it's a damage bonus, if it says Burn then it's a status effect. So on and so forth with the other types.

And if it's on a sword, it will never proc, so pretty much disregard.
