[24-08-2016] PC Patch notes for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Patch build 524.7
We have just released the first PC patch for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, v1.0 build 524.7. This patch focusses on critical issues users ran into immediately following release.

This patch will be applied by Steam automatically when you next start the game. If your game does not update, please restart the Steam client or manually look for updates in the Windows Store.

The following fixes are in this patch:
• Fixed crashes caused by third-party programs interfering with the game.
• Fixed crash that occurred after viewing the intro videos.
• Fixed issue that could cause a crash at the end of the Prague intro scene.
• Fixed mouse invert setting not being displayed correctly in the options menu.

Note about performance
We are seeing people reporting performance issues when playing the game on Very High/Ultra settings with MSAA set to 2x, 4x, or 8x. We would like to emphasize again that these options are very demanding.
We recommend everyone that is running at recommended spec or higher to start with the High Preset and MSAA turned off, and then tweak the options to optimize your experience.

While we expect this patch to be an improvement for everyone, if you do have trouble with this patch and prefer to stay on the old version we have made a Beta available on Steam, v1.0_build 524.6, that can be used to switch back to the previous version.

We will keep monitoring for feedback and will release further patches as it seems required. We always welcome your feedback!

Great stuff. Good to see that there is a game that criples my GTX 980ti. Hopefully Nvidia will release the GTX 1080ti soon :)

I don't see any updates installed on my DEMK installation yet. Do I need to do anything to receive updates?

Are you also going to fix:

- disappearing objects, making bricks float in the air
- enemies walking up against invisible walls
- enemies not seeing me when I am standing in front of them
- tutorials can't be completed again after the first time
- the huge opening in the hole under the stairs that stops you with an invisible wall
- the graphical glitches that occur when crawling out of said hole (world disappears, only sky textures are visible)

The game is unplayable in its current state.

patch did nothing, the game is still a massive mess. How oiin earth can they not state this themselves. Admit it your loosers. people paid a ton of cash for this game and yet its broken and you know it. turn off MSAA , hahahah that should almost disable high end cards. good go9d, even the titan X pascal cant run it at acceptable FPS on little 1440p resolutions .. your joking

Not to mention the mouse acceleration, massive differences in the X/Y axis, Input lag, and that mouse sensitivity makes some of us do a 360 turn when moving our mouse 1 cm even on 0% sens... I honestly doubt they played this thing with anything but controllers.

And what about those of us having performance issues when we AREN'T using MSAA? Are you going to keep denying our experiences then? It totally can't be your game or your programming, nope, definitely not, easier to blame everyone else right? And what about my items that went missing when your game crashed on me? What about mouse acceleration? What about Y axis being significantly slower than X axis?

Just pull MSAA out of the UI and launcher and make it a shortcut launch option. People are never going to get over not being able to "MAX" the game.

This game needs better optimization real bad, it shouldn't be that demanding. I barely go over 50 fps with a lot turned off.

MSAA is not broken. This is just the way this setting work, it's very taxing. The game run perfectly for me with no crash the only problem is with the mouse being super sensitive even at 0% and the horizontal/vertical sensitivity is not the same.

Game is running great on a 970 in fairly high settings, ignore the pcretardrace that don't know how to set gfx

It saddens me when I read so much negative comments. I have a 980 Ti SLI (Tested without SLI too) and game is really well optimized. It looks amazing and the graphics are beyond a lot of recent titles. I think people confuse art with graphical technology in which DXMD excels in the latter.

Great work and hope to see more patches down the line.

I passed on the 1080, because it wasn't a significant boost over my Titan x's, and the new Titan owners are probably going to get screwed again when the 1080ti hopefully comes out. I"m waiting for the same thing Sheep. As for the devs, Exclusive Fullscreen causes my screen to go black, Any fix for this other than not using Exclusive Fullscreen?

DEVS: Micro Stutters in the city hub is really annoying and game breaking for me, I cant decide whether its assets loading in or an actual problem. I have everything maxed at 1080p 144hz and mssa and vsync is off, FPS is around 90 and does not dip when the stutters occur...
i75960x / 64g DDR4 / Win 10 / Titan X (2way sli) Maxwell, Dubai ran like a dream...

UPDATE: I dissabled SLI and the micro stutters have virtually gone at the cost of FPS around 62.. (loss of 28fps)

UPDATE 2: By turning SLI back on changing pre rendered frames to 4 in NVID panel the stutters are reduced but still present at the cost of losing 5ps. I believe this problem is most deff an SLI issue...
