DLC items still one time only?
I thought to make a new topic since all the info I find by searching is from last year.
I was wondering whether the consumables we get from the season pass are still only usable once throughout all your games or they actually patched it so they are replenished when you start a new game.

Absolutely nothing's changed.

The gold weapons and variant coats can be used on every save, but the rest of the stuff was phone game consumables.

That's unfortunate. Thank you for answering.

The one-time use items aren't really needed, to be honest. You will get more ammo/ praxis than you need by just playing the game.

It is about principle You buy DLC, or get it for season pass and you can use them only one time? I know it is right of developers to make it this way, but it isn´t very helpfull or alluring for buyers. If one time for one play, OK, but only 1 for game?
Ofr course you don´t need them, you have enough things in game, but it is about principle.

I won't disagree with you. It's a ♥♥♥♥ marketing practice and I don't support it.

This is stupid developers, thats bull man, i am very disappointed by this.

So me and my father can't enjoy having these bonuses in our game through? Only 1 of us can enjoy this DLC???? Most lame developers i ever met, thanks for abselutely nothing, i certainly hope the game is worth it, because this DLC is worthless apparently, they should advertise and call it for what it is, 1 time single use Season Pass only.

That should have a warning label, but ofcourse THAT wouldn't be smart marketing, no lets rather just cheat the customers instead.

As a customer, thank you very much, it is a eye sore to even think about why you have done it like this.

Wait what are you talking about? Because I got the season pass and I didn't even get the weapons DLC...

When looking at your Character Inventory Page - on the bottem left there will be a tab that says 'Storage' vertically. Clicking on this will access your 'account storage' which DLC and BREACH rewards are stored for consumption in the main game.

Just to clarify, i understood this correct? You can only pick these special "storage items" 1 time, in 1 campaign?

If playing on that 1 Campaign, and i decide to start another new game, 2 campaign, then i won't be able to add these special "storage items" to that new game campaign, because they are used/lost?

Or is it allowed to add these special "storage items" 1 time whenever starting a new game?

That is largely correct - however - they are not even tied to a specific campaign or playthrough either.

If you redeem an item, then load up a save from before the item was redeemed - the item will be both consumed from storage as well as not-exist in the campaign, thus losing the item completely.

The only items which are an exception to the rule above are DLC weapons, such as the Elite Pistol, Classic Revolver, or Elite Combat rifle - which have actual in game flags on if they have been consumed or not. fresh/new campaigns will have all of the DLC weapons in it's storage, even if the item was already removed in another campaign/playthrough.

What's more - if you load up a save from before you redeemed the weapons - the weapons will also be returned rather then be gone for forever like the 1 time consumables.

Yes this is a ♥♥♥♥ System.
Yes it means that you can spend money for literally nothing. (redeem an item then die - the item is forever lost)
Yes Every one hates it.

That is why the 'Season Pass' and each of the 'DLC' packs have massively negative reviews for them.

lastly - No it is not the Dev's fault.

As the story goes, Square Enix Europe - the branch of Square Enix that published this game - came to the developers 2 weeks before the release date and 'informed' them that the game would have Micro-Transactions.

This was of course news to the developers whom didn't plan for prepare for such a thing. So the system you see in game was basically cobbled together from scratch in a matter of weeks at the behest of the publisher.

it is kind of telling considering that the 'storage' button and menu itself does not match the UI Design or asthetic of the game at all, nor is it like any other menu or interface in the game, which have all been professionally and painstakingly built.
Epero Jul 12, 2017 @ 5:12pm
But they still could repaired it in months after.
pug987 Jul 13, 2017 @ 12:11pm
In the end I didn't use any of the DLC praxis points. I was only tempted at the begining but like with the recent Prey game, you get so many by the end that you can fill your must-have skills, your "this would be nice to have" skills and even venture into "this does nothing for me but what the hell" territory.
