Game will not start up

Because I have a very crappy laptop, sometimes it'll shut off on me. The last time it did this, I was about to open up this game. Now whenever I try to play it, I get this error message:

"Script error: If you did not change the scripts, screenshot this and send to the creator.
GameState/startup: #<TypeError: incompatibe marsha; file format (can't be read)

format version 4.8 required, 0.0 given>"

Can anyone help me with this please?

Redownloading I have tried. That did not work.

I have gone and validated the game files, and it still does not wanna start up.

I wonder if this is related to the problem someone else posted about the game trying to start fullscreen and unable to change that.

Are you running Linux, by any chance?

No. I am running it on Windows Vista.

Thing is, it never had this problem before.
