Eversion
What is the Point of buying this game?
I mean aside from supporting the developer, the only two changes I know of are the graphical update and the secret ending. (And though I don't know, likely bug fixes)

For the most part, that's really it.

When I first played Eversion, I absolutely loved it. So when it came to steam I picked it up just for the reasons you listed and for a few achievements, which are always fun. I buy Humble Bundle stuff all the time so I was pretty fine with picking up another indie game to support the developer.
I too, bought this to support the developer. I was actually a little peeved because it felt like the controls or something were off, but hey, it works, and I liked it. I also was not expecting the different secret level either, which was neat.
Had a 50% coupon, why not.
The entire last level is different, also.

Well, I came at it from a different point of view. I'd never heard of the game, but when I saw it on Steam with a coupon, I thought it looked interesting and so bought it. Don't regret it in the slightest.

Yes, there are many good free Flash games out there. There are many expensive abysmal games out there, including on Steam.

Whether it was a free Flash game before or not is irrelevent to me - I feel it is well worth the asking price.
one of the points of buying this game is to help keep H.P. Lovecraft inspired games alive, there's so few of them out there that are any good. This and Call of Cthulhu are the only ones that I know of that are based off his work. If you ever saw the descriptions of the purchasable steam backgrounds then you'd have a pretty good idea as to which of his stories this is based off of.
I mainly purchased, since i had a 50% coupon and I thought the idea of seeing game progress would be nice.
Luckily I had a coupon. The game for me is not worth more than 2 euro. It's nice and interesting, but i don't feel it.

I've just looked at your profile and you've 100%'d it and played for 6.7 hours?

With the number of sales and promotions Steam has, it's the cheapest gaming platform out there and the game is well worth buying.
