Something about the game I never understood.

In Eversions 6-8 (I think), different messages will appear upon the player starting the level, or dying. Out of all of these, I've never understood the relevance of one of them, "MOTHER". I never understood this, or why it even showed up. Anyone have any idea as to what it could mean?

I think it's just the notion of crying out for mommy due to feeling scared.
