Can't run on mac

The icon appears for a moment and then disappears when I hit play game. When I use show package contents on the Unavowed file, and then run using the console, this is what I see:

You're not the first one who has reported this. Naturally the Mac version worked perfectly until the game went live. The offline and GOG versions work fine, so we think it's something to do with a recent steam client update. We're contacting valve for help and hopefully they can tell us what is wrong.

Very interesting to see that printout DEUS VULT! Very informative to know where it is failing. I'm going to try and fix this over the weekend.

Can anyone with this problem tell me what files they see in their downloaded app at

/Users/[yourname]/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/Unavowed

Then right click on Unavowed.app and Select "Show package contents" and navigate to Contents/Resources. Do you see libagsteam-unified.dylib and libagsteam.dylib?

So that you can play the game while we are fixing this, it is a bug that only affects Unavowed Mac on Steam, because the Steam version contains a plugin to handle Steam achievements. It is also available on the Humble Bundle website and GOG - Steam gives refunds for games that don't work. Sorry about this :(

I'm having the same issue and I checked my package contents and I have those files too. Please fix this ASAP! I was looking forward to this all day :(

Hi MarkoHazel! Can you tell me your exact Mac OS version number? Can you tell me whether the game works if you launch from the Unavowed.app file rather than through Steam?

I actually got it working now, thank you. Unlike Steam, GOG lists the required OS for the game, 10.11, I had 10.10 prior to updating today. Game is great so far, by the way. Looking forward to spending many hours on it! :)
