So... about blinding bolt

I used this weapon on another character, and it most people semt to be able to dodge it easyly. Others would just shield it. Is there a way to use this miracle effectively?

I would like to know, as my build is primarily a faith caster.

And whilst I'm on the topic of lightning bolt miracles,
How can one properly use lightning spears in pvp?

I don't really use Blinding Bolt on my miracle char.
The spears I use mostly just to punish someone who runs away or tries to chug.
I mostly just buff my Sinner's Sword with Sunlight Blade and wear the crown that replenishes spells.

You're going to want to equip the Lightning Clutch Ring and the Sun Seal or offensive miracles will be weak.

Alright. Much thanks. I also had the idea of casting blinding bolt after I've casted heavenly thunder. This way they don't approach me, and if they run from the blinding bolt I can snipe them with the spear.

Also, does lingering dragon crest ring effect the heavenly thunder/blinding bolt time?

You can cast it downwards to lessen the spread by the bolts. It gets canceled if it hits anything though.

Only situation I can think of is using it above someone since there isn't a lot of things good for shooting at someone directly below you.

This is just one of those spells that looks more scary that it actually is.

You use blinding bolt to bait out a roll then use sunlight spear to catch them as they come out of it. Assuming you didn't spice it down (please say you didn't) and that you are using a fully upgraded lightning infused dragon chime, the shots it fires off will be on par with regular lightning spears, meaning that anyone who isn't a dedicated tank will want to dodge it.

Alternatively, if they roll towards you, punish with heavenly thunder.

When i was going faith build sometimes i would use blinding bolt into emit force because it is fast and against katanas usually I'd using blind bolt and if i could heavenly thunder. Hope this is helpful- not against watcher shields xD
