PS4 Controller not working

I just picked this game up, but cannot seem to play. I have a PS4 controller that I connect to my PC via USB, which I have used successfully with other games. I checked and it is working correctly at present, but Yoku's Island Express is not responding to any button presses. I tried rebooting, just in case, but that made no difference. I tried using keyboard for the main menu and the controller still did not work in-game.

Are there any known issues with PS4 controller support? Does anyone have any suggestions on how I may be able to get resolve this and start playing?

EDIT: I worked it out. I had to open Big Picture mode, enable PS4 controller in there, then exit Big Picture and run the game.
